The Bingo Industry Self-Exclusion Scheme
The bingo industry is committed to supporting and helping customers who may from time to time experience difficulties managing their gambling in licensed bingo premises in Great Britain. To assist customers, the licensed bingo industry offers a voluntary scheme that enables them to request exclusion from land-based licensed bingo premises across Great Britain. We
cannot assist players who wish to be excluded from online (internet based) bingo websites and would ask customers seeking to do this to either contact the website operator directly or visit the GamStop website at
www.gamstop.co.uk. Key contacts for most websites can usually be found at the very bottom of the home (first) page of the website.
How the Scheme works
The scheme requires a customer to complete a digital application form and provide a digital image of themselves: this is an essential part of the scheme and exclusions cannot be processed without this image. The customer's details are then added to the Bingo Industry Self-Exclusion Scheme (BISES) system - a secure national database of individuals who have asked to be excluded from licensed bingo premises in Great Britain.
To complete the process the customer will be interviewed so that they understand the consequences of self-exclusion. If they want to continue with their request, they must complete and sign the self-exclusion form and supply a digital image of themselves. A copy of the Terms and Conditions are available to download and read on the right of this page.
Ways to Self-exclude
The quickest way for a customer to request exclusion is to attend their local bingo club or licensed bingo premises, where a trained member of staff will be able to explain the scheme, undertake the interview, take a digital image and assist you in completing an online self-exclusion form which you will need to sign.
If a customer does not wish to attend their local bingo club or licensed bingo premises to request exclusion, then they may also do this by telephoning their local club or licensed bingo premises, or by contacting them through their website. Alternatively, they can contact The Bingo Association, who will give them the telephone number of their club or licensed bingo premises. To request contact details customers should complete the form below. Following receipt, a member of staff from the Association will contact the customer (usually within 2 working days).
You MUST provide the name of the club or venue where you play bingo when completing the form below.
